Turkish Qualifications Framework
TQF level 8: Doctorate (PhD, proficiency in arts, medical specialisation)
In short: Doctoral degree level: ability to advance knowledge in the field through original research; capacity to make an original contribution to science and technology.
The Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF) is the national framework, designed to be compatible with the European Qualifications Framework, that classifies all qualifications gained through education programmes and other learning routes into eight levels. Each level is defined by level descriptors in three domains: knowledge, skills and competence. The framework is coordinated by the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK).
